If you started them on the first day of your last period, they should be effective. You said you are on the last week of pills. Are you talking about the week of placebo/inactive pills? Or the last week of pills that have hormones? If you are on the inactive placebo pills, you should start by the end of that week. However, since this is your first month taking them, your body may not have adjusted. If you have not started your period within a week of starting the inactive pills, you may want to check with your doctor to make sure everything is fine. Even if you did not get pregnant, it could be a sign that this particular pill may be too strong for you or that there is something else going on. Only your doctor can tell you for certain at that point. [ blwinteler's advice column | Ask blwinteler A Question ]
