Question Posted Sunday August 13 2006, 11:09 pm

my boyfriend has recently gone to jail. and i know that sounds really bad but he really didnt do anything except for be in the wrong place at the wrong time. he had a current probation and he was caught hangin out with people with alcohol and he was underage. so hes going to possible have to stay in jail till september if he cant make bail (his bail hearin is tomorrow). so im not sayin im having a problem decided to stay with him. i know ill wait for him, and i told him i would. but my mom's not lettin me accept his collect calls anymore. they're expensive and i get that. but i just wanted to answer his call tomorrow after his bail hearing but my mom wont let me. because he could stay there at haverhill, or he could get moved to concord, or he could be out if he can pay the bail. and my mom wont let me answer the phone. shes like just write to him. but if he gets moved to concord how will i know .. aww. i was hysterical. like i hate not knowing things and she was being such a bitch about it, sayin he asked for goin to jail, which he didnt even do anything. and i hyperventilated and all that stuff. and i cant calm down, i need to talk to him. i need to know where hes goina be. but all i can do is send a letter to a jail he may not even be in .. i dont know waht to do.

your mom is right too....but she shouldnt keep you from the person you want to be with, maybe if you talk to your mom and say mom can i take this one call and how ever much the bill is for that call i will pay you back...maybe she will understand and let you answer the call
tell me how it works out
best of luck

I totally 100% agree with your mother and the person who answered before me. Yes, you can still write to him, and your letters should be forwarded.

You won't like what I have to say because I am going to agree with your mom on this one.

For one thing he DID do something. He violated probation. He knew the terms of it and yet did it anyway. Not so innocent as you'd like to think.

Second, he has evidently made it a habit of getting in trouble or he wouldn't be on probation in the first place.

Collect calls from jail are VERY expensive. Call his
parents after the hearing and get the scoop from them.

You are going to get hurt by this guy...worse than what you are now. My advice..find a decent guy who
isn't on his way to being a career criminal.
