I have over 20 piercings, including my tongue. So, with that being said, you could say I know what I'm talking about. To answer your question, it hurts. In some cases, I have heard of it bleeding. It stays sore for about 4 or 5 days. The first couple of weeks is rough though, you have to get used to having it. You do talk wierd, for a while. But you get used to it. It does get swollen though. Theres a website, I think its, www.tribaltic.com or something close to that, you should check it out, you can learn a lot. If that link doesn't work, go to yahoo and type in body piercing, then click the link that is closest to the one I just gave you. Its like the 3rd or 4th one. Hope I helped! =] [ mayonnaise's advice column | Ask mayonnaise A Question ]
sassysara answered Friday August 11 2006, 9:47 pm: Ok There is no way you can hide this from your mom. Your tongue will be swollen for at least 4-6 days, and you do talk differently for a while until you get completely used to it which can take up to 3-4 months. Also it hurts like HELL at least it did for me.
I highly suggest that if you live with your mom or are under 18 you talk with her before hand, otherwise you will have wasted your time and gone through alot of pain for nothing when she makes you take it out, it takes less then an hour for the hole to close.
kendrabdatgirl answered Friday August 11 2006, 12:53 am: It might be a little hard to hide it from your mom. when you get a tongue ring you're not aloud to eat or drink juice for at least a day or else it will get infected. you do kinda of talk funny for a while but then you become use to having the ring in your mouth so you talk normal. Also during the first weeks you get it, dont take the ring out at all because your tounge hole closes really really fast. hope i helped:-P [ kendrabdatgirl's advice column | Ask kendrabdatgirl A Question ]
