how do i get my picture like this

Question Posted Thursday August 10 2006, 1:34 pm

[Link](Mouse over link to see full location) I want my picture to have the same lighting effects like that like its dark in some parts and light in others. How do you do that? If you can do it on Paint what are the steps to doing it?

You can't do that on Paint. You need Photoshop or something similar. (If you don't already have anything like that, you can download the GIMP for free at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location))

To make the picture black-and-white, use the brush tool in "color" mode.
To make it light, use the dodge tool.

you have to have to have photoshop to make your picture like that. And you can not do that on paint.

I'm sure that one of your friends may possibly have Photoshop & they would be willing to help you out.

Photoshop, but you don't need a filter as the other person said.
Image/adjustments/levels
OR
Image/Adjustments/Curves

Those are the two easiest methods.

It looks like the girl in the picture used a camera that didn't have flash metering. You can always try using a flash up close and have the background far enough away so that it doesn't get affected by the light of the flash.

You can't do that on paint. You have to do it in a photoshop like adobe with a filter. You could probably send the picture you want to that girl and maybe she could do it for you or tell you how.

hope i helped =]
