how do you know the difference between your period and spotting. my period is very irregular and sometimes i am not sure if it is my period or spotting. how do you tell. and sometimes my periods are very heavy and sometimes very light. i dont know. its confusing.

You should consider birth control. I got on it last month & it's helped my irregular period tremendously. Anyway, always wear a panty liner. That'll help with the spotting. Also, you should carry a pad or tampon with you at all times, just in case.

Sometimes it can be really hard to tell the difference. Spotting is a very minimal amount of blood where either you don't notice it at all until you see it in your panties or enough to have to wear panty liners. If it's a light period, you'll still have to change pads/tampons a few times a day.


If it's ABOUT a month apart (I'd say 18 days+ since you're irregular), then it's most likely a light period.
