I got a perm about a week ago and they burnt my neck with the chemicals. My mom told me to put lotion on it...but that isn't really helping much, it's peeling like a sunburn and it has scabs on it. I'm not pickingat it either. Anyway, I have a pool party i'm going to tomorrow and i'm going to have to put my hair up so everyone is going to see that gross thing at the back of my neck. if anyone has has this happen to them....how did you get it to go away quickly????? Please answer right away!!! Thanks in advance i will rate.

They will also be able to advise if chlorine is going to make it worse. But i don't no if it will go away by tommorrow but you should make a complaint about who ever did you hair and ask for a re-fund and show them the burn and tell them they should be a lot more carefull with how they handle there products.

You should, however, complain to the salon that caused this, chemicals should be handled with caution and can cause scarring if not done correctly. They need to know there is a problem.
Hope that helps and you enjoy your party. [ isis's advice column | Ask isis A Question ]
iheartyoussx3 answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 1:01 pm: hey, put aloe vera on it. it should help the peeling somewhat. also get one of those scrubby fluffy things that you use to wash yourself with in the shower and put your soap on it and just scrucb the area where its peelign and it will help reduce peeling. you could try putting some cover up on it, but since they dont make waterproof cover-up it will wash off in the pool. if it doesnt go away you could always leave your hair down or wear it like half-up half-down.
