discharge

Question Posted Monday August 7 2006, 7:47 pm

ok well i know about the whole discharge thing ( i have my period) but lately when i cum (after like masturbating and just randomly) it has been kind of yellowish and it smelled slightly like fish. Is it an infection? If it is, how do i get rid of it?

A fishy smelling discharge is usually Bacterial Vaginosis or BV. It's where the natural bacteria is out of proportion, so too much of the bad and not enough of the good stuff. It needs to be treated with antibiotics but is easily got rid of.
No one knows for sure why some women develop it but a couple of things that are thought to help get it are contraception and douching.
Hope that helps and good luck.

Sounds like a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. They both need to be treated but your not going to die or anything horrible, so don't worry to much about it, just schedule you a appointment as soon as you can.

Sounds like an yeast infection or maybe a different infection. Going to a gynocologist or asking your mom can help you because they can find medicine to get rid of it. If it doesn`t go away after a couple of days tell your mom. If you have any other questions, leave one in my inbox. ♥

I heard something about this. The fish-smell is a symptom but I forgot of what. Talk to your doctor, no kidding. It's an infection.
