Irregular Period

Question Posted Sunday August 6 2006, 12:50 am

Okay so I have had my period for almost 2 years and it has always been completely regular, every 30 days, that type of thing. The last time I was supposed to get it though, it was 18 days late. I don't know if I should be worrying it about it or not because it was only one time. But the thing is I don't eat very well. Would it have something to do with that? I only consume about 600-1000 calories a day and you are supposed to have around 2000. I also never get protein, so should I be concerned? Or just wait awhile?

Ok there are many problems that cause this...and you're is probably not enough calories consumed. You need to have a regular 1800-2500 a day! maybe more...but not less. IF you work out some of it..that's fine but you need to eat to have the regular period!!!!

Well, yes that is most likely the reason because I was anorexic at one time and during that time I didn't have my period for about 7 months then it came back when I started eating more food. You definitley need to eat more protein, its very important for the body to function properly. You don't have to eat 2,000 calories a day but you can eat less calories from that if you just choose the right choices of the foods you want. Just please eat again, dont go through what I did okay? Hope I helped you out!

Much love && sunshine!

I know alot of people who have an irregular period because they are too weak and they don't eat well.Therefore i suggest that you eat things that contains lots of calories and proteins, and take some vitamins because they always help. and after a while if you do so, then your period will be regular again. So there is no need to worry. Goodluck:) and if you need any other help or advice, then please be free to contact me.

Hi. The amount of food you consume deffinatly has a lot to do with it. Its also summer so the weather change might do something to it too. It really isnt something to worry about unless you are sexually active. Just try and eat right and drink loads of water.
