Wash your face twice a day. Once in the morning, once at night. Use astringent afterwards and then a face moisture cream.
Other than that you need to drink lots of water. Not just to help with the acne, but for your body. Drinking the right amount of water makes the skin softer and helps keep your body clean by flushing out impurities. Exersices also helps with the impurities (which can cause acne) but if you exersice, make sure to take special care of you face, chest and back. Those are the most common places for acne.
AmandasAdvice answered Friday August 4 2006, 10:25 pm: hey i have combination skin that breaks out on my t-zone: forehead, nose, and chin. a great idea is to pull back your hair in a tight ponytail around the house and for all physical activity, because the oils and greasyness of your hair will make your forehead go crazy. if you have bangs like me, part your hair in the middle and then put a few little clips to push your bangs back. they work great to pull back the pieces of your bangs. then start washing your face with a cleanser that contains salicitic acid followed by a oil/dirt removing toner and a heavy duty lotion when you wake up in the morning and then repeat this when you go to bed at night. this sounds a little like proactiv but since it isnt exactly the same it will work better. hope i could help & good luck. if you need any more help drop one in my inbox! ;]

oneandonly345 answered Friday August 4 2006, 9:07 pm: i use oxy pads, they work great. or stridex. both are great.
also if you use hairspray cover your forehead when you are spraying it, hairspray makes you break out.
and if you sweat a lot that could be another reason to break out. so pull back all of your hair when you are doing sports or what not.
