Ok I always wondered if store clerks we allowed to go through costomers' purses & bags.I live in Missouri & I wonder if that`s the law or something. I heard that if the clerks do go through someones bag & they find nothing that was stolen they/the store can be sued.

(i got this from some girls that shoplift...) so they hide things they steal in their pants/sleeves. I'm not really sure what they can do. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]

I was a convenience store clerk at one time and we weren't allowed to do that. If we saw someone take something we were to call the police. You are right, doing so would be setting yourself up for all kinds of lawsuits. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
