Hey I am going to be a freshman and I just want to know like the basics of like what goes on, how hard the work is, how to make new friends, what to stay away from, etc. lol. Also like how can I make a good impression on the first day of school, and like yeah. Basically anything you can think of. Thanks! :]

Just talk to people... the shy girls don't make many friends. get people's screenames and chat it up.
just be friendly, try to smile, stuff like that.
just have fun & choose friends wisely. don't expect the people you meet on the first day/week to be your close friends all year...some people do that but most don't. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]

Oh my word, my freshman year was SO MUCH FUN. Minus a lot of the drama, it was great.
Okay, well the first day is the first impression day, you want to make first impressions that are good on everyone you come in contact with. Because the first day you cant really see who the "clicks" are, or who you should avoid. But if you are good with everyone, you should have no problem. The work is hard, you definitly get a lot more homework then in middle school, and ALWAYS do it, and get it in on time, and if you have missing assignments or projeccts your teeachers wont remind you, so keep a planner of everything you need to do and get it done on time, or it will really affect you in the end.
Oh And to make good impressions, smile be friendly! Be genuine, ask people how they are doing, if they had a good summer, make eye concatct, and when you shake, make sure its a firm hand shake!
The upperclassman, well most of them are nice, some are cocky and think they are alll that, but they know how you feel, they were once in your spot you know? But anyways freshman year goes SO FAST, seriously. And after that the years just go even faster, and you'll be out of highschool in no time, so make the best of your years:]
Enjoy them, and study for exams, dont cram.

It doesn't matter if you don't wear Abercrombie or Hollister, there is going to be someone in the school that is willing to expect you. And if you have 1 real true friend it's better then 100 fake ones.
The work isn't to hard, but it may come to a Challenge since I don't know what classes you have taken. But if you put your mind to it, study and do all your homework you should do well.
The first week I will pretty much grantee you wouldn't do anything expect go over what the class will be like for the year, and what supplies you'll need for the classes.
Oh yes, and the upperclassman may not be to nice to you. It's just a thing because everyone is going to think that the freshman are in mature.
But another thing is, try to stay away from the parties! I didn't and I failed 5 classes, passed 3 and then went to summer school for 2 of them. All because I didn't care because I was at a party! So please try not to get stuck in the party scene. If you don't it'll pay off later. [ lostxlustx151's advice column | Ask lostxlustx151 A Question ]
