It could go either way. The one way to find out is to ask him. You should just ask what what he needs to talk to you about. It's as simple as that.

You will never know until you talk. So go ahead and have that talk. If you are currently dating someone then you should let them know, you don't want them to get angry - it would be a justified anger.
