My sister and I convinced my dad to get my mom a Birkin bag for their anniversary. She's in love with them and has always wanted one.
Their anniversary is in December and we've heard nightmares about a 2 year waiting list *ah*. I know a few people, though, that did not have to wait that long to get theirs, but have no way to contact them now. My dad is going to sign up for one at a Hermes boutique when he goes to New York in a few weeks (we live in Houston, TX) but we really don't want to wait the 2 years.
Does anyone have any advice one how we can get one sooner and KNOW it's authentic? We're looking for one no more than 15,000. Thank you
They only way you can get out of the waiting list is to call up places that sells Birkin bags and see if they've had any cancellations. Usually, after waiting the 2 years, some people will decide that they don't want the bag after all so the store keeps it.
Since you live in Houston, I'd go to the Galleria and check Saks Fifth Avenue. I'm not positive that they have Birkins but they'd know where you can get one without having to go all the way to New York. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
