Hi, I think I have a big problem, but I have absolutely no idea how to beat it... see, I am totally obsessed with being on the computer. I have AIM, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Messenger, a website, and I have 4 email addresses. I know this is too much and I want to stop, but I don't know how. I spend half my day on the computer and because of it, I'm not as athletic as I used to be. What should I do??

It seems as though, you get on and you get lost in it and next thing you know half the day is gone! Just shut it off and start doing all of the things you used to do. I know that is very cut and dry but it will work. You might also want to try and use a cooking timer and give yourself like a half an hour each day to be on it. Set the timer and when it goes off immediately shut the computer off. If you do this for two weeks it will become habit. You will find that you will be back into all of the things you used to be involved in...hope that helps even a little bit. :) [ brookagurl's advice column | Ask brookagurl A Question ]
