Virus!!

Question Posted Tuesday July 25 2006, 2:05 pm

My computer just got fixed and I think that I'm going to get a virus again. Someone looked at porn on my computer and now it's has a warning. I will be in so much trouble. Does any one know if I can get rid of the bad spyware!? I can't buy anything though so is there anything free I can download? Please help me out as soon as you can. Thank you!

Xenolan answered Tuesday July 25 2006, 4:03 pm:
I have had the most success with the following anti-spyware programs:

Adaware

Spybot

Hitman Pro

For antivirus, there is a good one called Antivir.

All the above are free, and they are considered to be quality programs and safe for your computer. They aren't quite as good as the major players like Norton and McAfee, but you get what you pay for.

You should also visit windowsupdate.microsoft.com and make sure you have all the latest Windows updates and patches.
