I have this problem...Like when i get bored i tend to eat and im afraid i will become overweight. But I excercise and everything and im in cheerleading but it seems as if i am ALWAYS bored! Does anyone know how I can stop myself from eating when I get bored? I hate this!

And try to remind yourself to drink water instead of eating, because as you know, water is a lot better to consume a lot of than food. Good luck! [ Helpful's advice column | Ask Helpful A Question ]

this is a common problem for a lot of people.
You could try and plan things with friends more, or maybe practice your cheerleading more.
Since you are active, i'm sure you won't become over weight, but of course there is always the possibility of gaining a few extra pounds. Maybe instead of eating junk food when you get bored, you could eat something heathy. I know your probably going to be like "ew your wierd" after i say this, but my favorite heathy snack is vedgies and dip. lol, it really is good, i normally eat carrots, raw string beans or celery with ranch dressing as dip. ALso, fruits are always good, especially the summer fruits, like watermelon and raspberries and such.
You don't have to completely give up junk food, but before you have cheerleading practice or you excersise, eat the healthy foods i mentioned, and then after cheerleading practice you can eat a bit of junk food as a reward/treat. but limit the amount of junk food you have by putting some chips in a bowl, that way your only eating a certain amount of chips or w/e.

If you feel the need to snack every once in a while, it's ok as long as your portions are reasonable and healthy. Measure the food and put it in a baggy, then only eat one baggy per day. That could work. Try to divert your attention aswell. When you are feeling bored do something else. For example: hang out with a friend, go outside, talk on the phone, etc. There are so many choices. Hope this helps! [ askmex3's advice column | Ask askmex3 A Question ]
