What is good face wash and moisterizer for combo skin? I need something thats oil free, but is strong enough for my dry skin. Something that wont cause pimples.
DancinCutie08 answered Monday July 24 2006, 4:24 pm: I use nutragena and i love it. It is for normal to oily skin but they also make it for dry skin etc. It doesn't dry my skin out but it doesn't make it oily either
Dove soap is the best soap for acne, clearing up scattered pimples, making skin soft, etc.
If you wash your face every night in the shower with that, your combo skin will get better. The first time I used it I definitely saw/felt a difference.
As for the moisterizer: Somebody recommended this stuff that can be purchased in the makeup department at Kohls. I think it's called Good Skin (ha) and it's specifically for combination/normal skin. It's a green and white sqeeze bottle and I'm looking at it right now. It says:
Perfect balance moisture lotion.
-targets moisture where needed
-strenghtens skin's moisture barrier
-protects with SPF 15
(on the back)
This intelligent moisturizer precisely hydrates while reinforcing skin's proctective moisture barrier with an advanced repair complex. Vitamins C and E help disarm damaging free radicals, B5 engergizes skin.
I like this lotion. It's good but it doesn't smell wonderful.. but I suggest using this at night and/or in the morning. It costs around 15 bucks but I'm sure you can get it for a discount price. When you put it on it can be a little shiny (that's why I suggest putting it on at night) but in the morning it leaves your skin oil free and smooth. It worked well for me and I hope it works just as well for you!

I use this St. Ives 24-hour moisturizer stuff-it works really well and it keeps my face feeling clean and smooth without giving me pimples. As for face wash- I use this Aveeno foamy stuff- it's oil free and I just like it a lot. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
