Okay well about a week or so ago I had sex. well the guy didnt use a condom which I know is bad but he did pull it out before spermen. n when he did that some had got on the inner lining of my underwear by my croch area. I manage to whip alot of it off but am I still at risk.
Melody answered Monday July 24 2006, 8:25 pm: You were at risk even if his semen didn't get in your underwear. Just so you know, you CAN get pregnant by pre-ejaculation and sperm DOESN'T die when it hits the air. I'm not saying it never does, i'm just saying it takes a while for it to. So yes, you are at risk. Sorry if this has come off bitchy, but I just really wanted to make it clear that you can be pregnant.
TIP: consider taking birth control if you have a hard time with condoms. [meaning you are to into the moment to put one on him] That's what I have done, and now I don't have to worry as much about pregnancy. You know? [ Melody's advice column | Ask Melody A Question ]
Vikki27 answered Monday July 24 2006, 2:18 pm: I'm afraid you are, yes.
When a man is aroused, he still secretes sperm, whether he actually reaches climax or not. This means that although he didn't orgasm inside you, sperm can and most likely did get inside you. No matter how small the amount, it is enough for you to conceive.
Whenever you have sex, unless you are specifically trying to get pregnant you should always use protection. Other than the risk of pregnancy, you are at risk of Sexually Transmitted Infections such as Chlamydia, which you would not experience immediate symptoms of but can cause infertility in women. You could also catch Sexually Transmitted Diseases such as HIV so you can really never be too careful.
For extra security when having sex, ensure that you are on the Pill and use condoms. The condoms will protect against STI's and STD's effectively but the Pill is the most effective form of contraception, as it is around 99.9% effective if you take it correctly. This method is what they call going 'Double Dutch' in Holland and ensures you are as protected as you can be. [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]
Elcee answered Monday July 24 2006, 8:10 am: You most certainly are at risk. Not just from getting pregnant but also from infections. You should consider all the results of unprotected sex:-
Babies
HIV
STDs
Yeast infections
AIDs
If your period does not come you must go and have a pregnancy test. If it is negative put it down to experience and don't repeat the same mistake. If you are pregnant you will need to get advice on what to do next.
