okay last night this kid gave me a hickey. how long do they usually last & is there a way to get rid of them? and what is the point of a hickey? like what does it do?

it depends on how dark it is. sometimes it lasts a week or maybe 2 days.
you can put ice on it or try to cover it up with makeup.

A hickey can last from a couple days to a week. It depends on the darkness and how big it is.
A hickey is like a guy's way to brand you. like, you know how farmers brand their animsals with a certain symobol, saying, "this is my cow and everyone knows it when they see this." The hickey is like the branding, saying "youre mine now and nobody else can have you." Or if y'all aren't in any kind of relationship, it can just be, "you're mine for now, and I'm gonna mess with you and do things with you." Like friends with benefits. You can't really get rid of it, but there is a way to help the process of it fading and make it go quicker, I'm just not sure what it is. It does nothing to your skin, it just sits there for all the world to see. You could try covering it up with makeup, but sometimes it takes a lot of makeup to cover one up. You just have to wait until it fades away. Hope I helped.
