my knee hurts. its the left side of my right knee. and like i would be sitting and not move it for a long time then, move it like straight and it will cramp up and feel like i pullled a muscle. but it doesnt hurt when i walk but cracks a lot. also like if you look at it, it doesnt look like anythings wrong with it, but like on the left side of my knee it hurts. its been like this for like a month

So, that would be the cracking sound that you are hearing.
From what it sounds like, you've torn your cartilage like I did a few months ago.
I would suggest going to the doctor and getting them to take an x-ray of your knee.
ilovehimxox answered Friday July 21 2006, 12:31 pm: it is most likely that your using it a lot. it sounds like your an athlete cause that happens to me everynight i have a game or i run around. which is ushally every night what i do to make the pain go away is just stretch your knee out then put it back close to you. do that about 10-15 times just to stretch it out. or it would possibly be something worst. it all depends.

elipongo answered Friday July 21 2006, 9:25 am: It's most likely due to stress on your knee from your daily activities. Do you bicycle a lot or participate in athletics? You might want to think about adjusting your technique to put less stress on your knees.
However, a certain amount of joint discomfort is pretty much inevitable for an active person. When my own knees and ankles get too uncomfortable, I use some Ibuprofen or sometimes an icy/hot patch to soothe the discomfort.
If these tips don't help you out, and/or the pain gets worse or spreads, you should consider seeing a doctor- specifically an orthopedic specialist. You'd probably need a referral from your regular doctor to go to one. The doctor may prescribe that you do something as simple as wearing a lace-up brace or an orthopedic support in your shoe.
orphans answered Friday July 21 2006, 7:40 am: i have this problem too. its because your putting too much pressure onto it, like you maybe run or play soccer? if not, its because your body is changing, so that way as your upper boness are getting bigger, your kneess are getting a little weeker.
