Make friends with the teachers. People can call you a teacher's pet or what ever they say but as long as you friends with the teachers they will help you incase you fall behind.

If you have more than 1 class, get 1 binder for each subject (that's what works for me; i'm in 8th grade). To have a fun year, sign up for different clubs and groups. You'll make new friends and you'll try new things

a)I have to agree with the person below me and suggest making new friends. Just be friendly and sweet, and everyone will love you. Don't forget your old friends, but you don't have to cling to them either.
b)Get a new haircut to start off the school year. Ask your hairdresser what would look best with your face type, or pick a 'do you love off your fav. celebrity.
c)Pamper yourself. There's nothing better than pampering yourself when getting a fresh start. Go in for a manicure/pedicure, maybe a facial and massage or take a relaxing bubble bath. You can't go wrong.
d)Go shopping. What girls do best. Buy a bunch of cute new clothes for back to school. Make sure you buy clothes that fit your body type, that way you'll feel sexy in them.
ORGANIZED::
a)Clean your room. Go through your desk, drawers, closets, ect. I know this might be a hard and long tast but try pacing it. For example, conquer your closet one day, going through things you no longer wear or things that don't fit (that way you'll have space for new clothes). Another day, go through your desk, getting rid of old papers and things you won't need. If you do it in small parts, it won't be as overwhelming. After you accomplish this task, you will feel so much better.
b)Go out and buy new folders, pens, pencils, spirals, binders, markers, dividers, ect. Label things according to what they are, for example, have a sections or different folders or spirals for homework, math, history, ect. After everything is set up nicely, vow to keep it that way. If you put things in there right place, you will not only be able to find them better but you will be more organized and stress-free.
FUN::
a)Make plans for something to do each weekend. Even if you feel ridiculous planning ahead, things can be changed and flexible. Also, even if your schedule seems busy, it's better to be busy than bored, so if you plan ahead, you know you'll have things to do. Also, make sure you are social and hang with friends, that way, your weekends will never be dull. Plan fun trips to places like malls or amusement parks and you'll have a blast.
pootietang answered Thursday July 20 2006, 3:05 am: Fresh: make new friends. Lose old friends who are backstabbers. Like new people. Explore new things (new clubs, classes, sports, activities). Listen to different music. Become healthier by exercizing regularly and eating properly. Study in advance to avoid cramming.
Organized: go shopping for folders, pencil cases, dividers, and binders (this is the fun part!). Set aside each binder for each class you have. Label your dividers "Homework", "Notes", "Projects", "Tests", and "Worksheets" for each binder. Have extra dividers in case you need more. Set aside a time for you to study and do homework every day. Also set aside time for you to take a break and have fun. Keep a calendar in which you keep track of important reminders.
Fun: have something to do every weekend this year (shopping, movies, bowling, etc.). On weekdays, go outside when you finish your schoolwork. If it's raining, get on the computer (myspace, xanga, aim, e-mail). If it isn't, get out. [ pootietang's advice column | Ask pootietang A Question ]

1. Fresh
2. Organized
3. Fun
You start your year doing these three things, don't wait for friends and class mates to start it off .
Example Methaphor :
If everyone around you is cold and you come with a warm temperature, guess what everyone around you becomes warm because you changed the atmosphere with your temperature .
