Flat, Frizzy, Fried HAIR!

Question Posted Monday July 17 2006, 11:15 am

Every day I take a shower and wash my hair. After I get out I blow dry it, and then straighten my hair. But I just don't use any regular hair straightener I use an iron. Like a clothing iron. That gets my hair perfectly straight and I love it. The only thing is now that i'm doing it so long, my hair is flat, frizzy, and fried. I've tried other hair straighteners but they have made the situation worse, so I'm not willing to try another hair straightener. But I AM willing to use a shampoo, gloss, conditioner, hair spray, anything that makes my hair have way more volume/body but that doesn't make it greasy or look oily. Does anyone have any suggestions/advice. Thank-you sooooo much!

I advize a chi straightener, but if you are not willing to change from a clothing iron then try using Redken products to make your hair less damaged. I have tried hot oil treatments, but they are quick fixes and don't last long.

okay, get a hair cut because i can't even imagine how damaged your hair must be. next, go ahead and try out shampoos and conditioners whose sole purpose is to repair damaged hair. lay off the clothing iron. i know a girl who did that. regardless of her being hot, it don't matter anymore. now she scrunches her hair to cover up her yucky hair.

Alright what you need to do is CONDITION! try oout different kinds until you find one that works for youre hair. The same with shampoo. I recommend for conditioner for biolage condition balm. Its great and you can use it daily.

For the shampoo theirs tons! try them and see

okay. the clothing iron really damages your hair. as does any other straightener. if you want to make your hair less frizzy and everything try this. when showering double shampoo with pantine pro-v shampoo, rinse, then use pantine conditioner [leave in for like 3 minutes before rinsing out]... DON'T BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR!! let it air dry. while it is still damp, use a few drops of john freda's frizzes hair syrum... then use any volumizing mouse [personally i use bead head mouse && it works great].. i have a chi straightener and i am in love with it. it's the best straightener EVER. [it's kinda expensive, but it's definately worth it.] when you do straighten your hair, use a heat protectant spray!! this should make your hair less frizzy, have more wolume, and not be so fried.
