I started my period on the 6th of July, a Thursday, and everything seemed normal, red blood. Then on the Sunday, as instructed by my doctor, I started my birth control pills (for the first time). Since then, my period blood is dark brown, almost black? And I doubt it is just dried blood, seeing as when I wipe, the fresh flowing blood is the exact same colour. What's going on? Is it related to the birth control pills? If it helps, I still have my period at the moment, and it's showing no signs of stopping, and I'm 15 years old and have been having my period since January 13th 2005, not regular.
Tianna_Time answered Sunday July 16 2006, 1:38 am: This is common if you have just started taking the pill. You can potentially have brown blood for three months while your body adjusts. Give a quick call to your doctor and they will explain it. Hope you feel better!I too am suffering cramps at this time:)
