Hello! For my musical, we are doing Fairly Modern Millie..do I need a New York accent for that? And if so, how do I do one? (13/f.)

well she comes from Kansas, so you should do an accent from Kansas. i am sorry but i don't know how you could do that, except to watch the movie it was produced in 1967. this will give you a better feel of the character so you can make her more believable. i hope this helps!!

I think you should either watch the movie of it if there is one or watch guys & dolls. i had to have a new york accent to be Bonnie in Anything goes and my voice teacher suggested that i watch guys & dolls. you like don't say your "r"s and stuff... it's kind of hard to explain withought doing it, you know? hope that helps and lemme know if i can explain anything else for you. <3
