Fake Tanners/Sun Bathing

Question Posted Sunday July 9 2006, 12:21 pm

I started using a fake tanner in the past week. It works great and looks natural and real. My question is, can I go outside and sitll sunbathe while I am still using a fake tanner? Becuase I was thinking of this; take a shower in the morning and apply fake tanner. Then later on in the afternoon, I would sunbathe for about 15 minutes on each side, and work it up to 30 min. Is this ok, and will I still be able to tan outside? Thank-you for your advice.

hi
maybe what you can do is stop using the fake tanner for a little while and get regular tanning oil and sunbathe. even some nail salons have thoughs tanning things where you lay down on it. i don't know if you would like to do that though. what i do for tanning is use tanning oil and sunscreen for sunbathing. not to brag or anything but it helped me out, but i didn't turn out very dark, just about an olive color skin. also while you sunbathe, you should try to prevent skin cancer too.

I'm pretty sure that that's ok, as long as the tanner doesn't make you phohosensitive or just reflects even more light on you to the point that you burn.

yes, it is ok to this. It will help blend in and even out your tan a bit.

I dont think there should be any affects to this. But hun if you are using a fake tanner, then why go back outside and tan again? You bought the fake tanner for a reason right? I think if you want a real tan, do not apply the fake tanner at all and hit the outsides.

Yes, that is what I do. It should blend into your fake tanner and make it look even more natural. Just make sure your using sunscreen, if you burn it might make your skin look messy. Good Luck! Any questions just let me know!

No that should be ok, unless the fake tanner has something in it that makes you sensitive to the sun. Sheck the bottle for warning to make sure. And do you recomend this tanner? =) If you do please tell which one and if it has a funny smell or leaves you orange cause been looking for a good fake tanner. =D thanks lol
