Should I still exercise? I've been running the last couple days because I want to start exercising a lot more. But when I woke up this morning, my calves were really really sore. I didn't pull anything or anything like that, they're just sore from all the running. Should I still run today or should I take a break because of the sore calves? If I should take a break on running, is there anything else I could do exercise-wise? Thanks in advance =]

Your legs are probably worn out after all of the runing. You probably just started running after awhile, so your legs aren't used to the intensity. Try doing some simple stretching, jumping jacks, ect. before you run. Stretching is very important, if you forget to stretch, you can pull a muscle. Take a break and just work out a little at home. Simple crunches, sit ups, pushups, stuff like that. Have you tried the bicycle manuever? You lay down on the floor, in a situp/crunch position, then you come up to your knees, cross over right elbow to left knee, left elbow to right knee, while your legs are in the air, 'pedaling' as you would when you are riding a bicycle.
Hope I helped!

Yes you can take a break. Your calves hurt becuase your legs may not be used to alll the running. remember too Strech your legs out alot before you start running.
Some exercises you can do inside.

I would take a break for a day or two. You need to give your legs some rest. But its perfectly normal to be sore especially if you dont excercise a lot. If it really hurts, take a tylenol or put a hot water bottle/heating pad on your legs and lay down. ]
take a beak today. but next time don't forget to stretch - that will prevent the soreness. our coach always told us to switch every day - one day work on your upper body, and then the next day work out your legs. that way you always stay active, but your muscles have time to rest. so when you're not running, you could go to a weightroom and work your biceps, triceps, deltoid and so on. or you could do puch-ups, crunches and such. sorry i can't give you more examples of exersises you could do at home, but i've always worked out at school at the weightroom. you could always ask an athletics coach or try researching it online. ]
If I were you, I would take at least one day off from running every week. Even our cross country coach told us to. Instead, those days work on something like uppr body strength by doing crunches or push ups. Also, don't be afraid to just have a day of no excercise, everybody needs a break every now and then. ]
