Ok, so every time my cell phone rings, and its any where near my cable modem, the signal gets interupted, and I get booted off the internet. Also, the speakers make a funky sound. Does anyone else have problems with this? And is it something that could just be wrong with my modem, because its still under warranty (I think).
Its a motorolla ROKR and a SURFBoard modem if that matters.

x0brittany0x answered Friday June 30 2006, 3:33 pm: I have the same problem.
If you look at my computer like 2 seconds before the phone rings until it stops ringing; the screen shakes and whatever i'm listening to skips and stuff.
I called my internet company and they said its the reception. Because the cell phone has interference with your cable modems signal.
clearlypink428 answered Friday June 30 2006, 2:16 pm: well, i cant really answer for your getting booted off the internet- but i know that mostly anyone can relate to the noise it makes on the speakers. the same happes when the phone is close to a stereo, or radio- and sometimes- when we're on a family vacation- it piks up on the car speakers in our van, as well. its jsut n interference with the waves that the phone is on, and the waves the computer/stereo/car radio is on.
