How to Get Rid of Hair Bumps
My son - African American - has hair bumps throught his head and at the bottom of his hairline on the back of his neck. He has tried several products to get rid of them to no avail. Someone suggested he use Vagisil. He's been trying that for the past 2-3 days. Nothing happening yet. Anybody have suggestions out there on how to get rid of them?

Since basically the bumps are slightly infected hair follicles, try antibiotic ointment. There is also a newer cream called "calmoseptic" that might help. If it can be avoided, don't use hydrocortisone cream. Although the over the counter version is rather mild, steroid creams cause lightening of black skin.

You know how they ask you what number to use...like 4,3,2,1 go with2..its not that too close of a shave...thats probally why...maybe try a new babrber?

Maybe it is the way the barber cuts his hair. Next time, tell him to tell the barber not to mark him with a razor, use the machine to mark him instead.
