Question Posted Tuesday June 27 2006, 9:06 am

Is it really possible to hear sounds on the other side better with a cup against a wall? What other useful tips are out there?

Yeah but it wouldn't really work. like the person below me said, a glass is so much better.

As for anything else, I know htis sounds totally stupid, but they actually have these toys where you pp[ut head phones on, and hold this thing up to the wall and you can hear. My friend's sister had it. It was so cool, haha. They probably have them at your local Toys R' Us! I guess you could use that.
hm... i'm not a 100% sure, but would a stethascope work?

Good luck on your listening through walls :)

It is possible but I have to admit it isn't much of an improvement. It's better to use a glass (the better quality the glass the better). Push it against the wall and stick your ear to it and it works quite well. However, the definition of the words is quite poor so you will hear the sound of voices louder but you have to work quite hard to figure out what is actually being said.
