weights do give a muscular look, but they do not trim down arm size to normal, the best way to trim them is o lighten the food amount

You cant trim the arms or any other part of your body without losing weight overall. Fat cannot be spot reduced (i.e. targetted to a specific area). The human body does not work this way (despite what you might hear on this site).

Weights will build muscle on the area that is all. This may tighten the arm up a bit, but the fat will remain. Of course, if you are doing weights in the context of a weightloss program (involving proper diet and perhaps some cardio), then the weight will eventually come off your arms. Unfortunately however, you cant really tell your body to emphasize your arms.
