shaving
im 12 and i dont shave my legs yet and its soo embarassing !! im just too scared and embarassed to ask my mom about it .. over here its been like 90 degrees and i`ve been wearing jeans! i can`t wear capris or shorts or anything because of my legs. and i just can`t talk to her it`s too embarassing. she doesn`t talk to me about this stuff so i don`t think that she`ll be bringing up the subject all of a sudden. i also dont want 2 shave behind her back. help?!

I was just like you @ that age and when I wanted to start shaving my legs. Ever since I started the 6th grade I wanted to shave but I didn't actually build up enough guts to ask until towards the end of 6th grade and it was pretty embarrassing.
I finally asked one night when we were planning on going to the beach the next day. I said "Since we're going to the beach tomorrow, can I shave my legs?" and she said "Yea." I also waited until she was actually distracted and I quickly got her attention, then she went back to doing whatever she was doing. My mom thought I was ready, I guess && I did it when I was 11-12 and thats usually when girls start shaving.
What helps me, is to be casual about it. I was always soooo embarrassed about that kind of stuff. When we went bra shopping, when I got my period, shaving my legs, etc. I'm not one to be like "Can we sit down and talk? Okay... I want to shave my legs." and I guess being casual about it, helped me. See if that helps you. Get ready to take a shower one morning/night and before you jump in just say "Hey mom, is it okay if I shave my legs? They're super hairy and I wanna wear shorts today." Hope I helped.
