Ok well im 13/f, and I have had my period for a while. And Ive heard that you can get birth control to settle it downa little, cuz mine really heavy and I get really bad cramps...do you think that I am to young and also do you have to go to the ob/gyn to get a perscription. Thnx so much...

You're not too young to start birth control. Girls your age actually start getting put on it. You might have to go to the gyno to get a perscription just because there is more than one kind and they have to see what the problem is and why you're so heavy. I know it's uncomftrable going there but to them it's normal because they see it everyday so if you do have to go, just relax.
