Try eating popcicles, sucking on ice cubes, letting jello slide down your throat..and all that will help. The unhealthy part is you are not getting enough fluids! If you have a temp over 100, and I assume you do if you have the chills you might try a tepid bath or an over the counter medication for a fever. Ask the pharmacist or your Dr which would be best..if you can't swollow a pill, you can get liquid form. Once the antibiotics kick in, you should notice a great deal of improvment in 3 days. As a general rule strep throat that get's treated is not dangerous. [ Nallie's advice column | Ask Nallie A Question ]

Eat something easy to swallow.
You can try drinking warm/hot tea, some yogurt, ect.
My mom told me that when my throat hurts and I don't feel good, is to mix honey with warm-hot milk. It's soothing for your throat. You're not supposed to be cold. Try dressing more warmly, like a sweater, and some sweats and socks. You probably should lie down instead of being on the computer or being up and doing stuff.
OnlyTheRightAnswers answered Tuesday June 6 2006, 6:25 pm: I had something like this last week and I missed two days of school but the whole feeling like crap lasted a little over a week. I lost about seven pounds but unless it's over fifteen pounds, it's not terribly unhealthy. I also had really bad chills and had to go to bed with the heat on, 2 blankets, a sweatshirt, sweatpants, and slippers. That night my fever broke though, so it's just something that takes time. Make sure you try to take pain pills (aspirin or ibuprofen work best) every four to six hours and just really get your rest. Sorry you feel so sick, I hope you get better soon. 2) Being really cold or really hot is also hard on your body.
My Advice: You should try and eat more, even if your throat objects to it. Try drinking a milkshake or some warm soup, something soft and liquidy that won't hurt your throat as bad when you swallow. You should also go see the docter again or seek other professional help. Ask him or her what you can do from losing so much weight and see if there is anything you can do to help your condition.

Try your hardest to eat, and be shure to eat healthy foods that contain alot of vitamines and nutriences. Beeing cold is quite normal durring the virus time period, You might have a fever from your body runing a low fuel while fighting the virus.
