Question Posted Monday June 5 2006, 9:57 pm

I've been waking up say 5 or 3 in the morning for the past few nights.

I don't even know why, it's so weird.
I usually wake up with my covers kicked off my bed.

I don't remember having a nightmare or dream or anything. I don't know why this is happening?

Any ideas on why it's happening and how to prevent it? 5 stars to anyone who helps!

I expect that the first one or two times you woke up, there was some sort of noise or a dream perhaps that you don't remember or any other number of reasons. Then, after you had done this a couple of times, your body took it on as a habit. I've had the same problem before and it's just that after a short period of insomnia, your body adjusts so you can't get to sleep until a certain time or you wake up at a certain time every night after that. You probably had the covers kicked off because nights are growing warmer and you were too hot in your sleep.

There are a million and one different cures for insomnia, but the best website I have ever come across is [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

It helped me get through a few very bad stints, so I would recommend them. I would recommend the eating of a bedtime snack (I chose a digestive biscuit or plain slice of bread)and definitely NOT the 'Quiet Ears', because it freaked me out and then I really couldn't sleep.

Anyways, give them a go. You have nothing to lose!

Are you more stressed out than usual? Because it could be just that you are thinking about it at night, and you just dont realize it.

Thats me. Right there.

Maybe you could like, wrap yourself sorta like a cocoon when you start to sleep?

Relax a little before you go to bed. Take a nice, calming bath.

Well, i think that you have something on your mind. It could be friends, family or school. i always say that you should never go to sleep with a grudge or pain with or from someone. Problems should be resolved ASAP! i know its weird to say this cuz i don't know the story but life is precious. another reason is something you eat. some people get different reactions to what they eat before bed. try changing things a couple of times each night to see the results. good luck.

maybe you get really hot, that might explain the covers.

as for waking up at that time every night, well...there could be many reasons.

1. theres a spirit
2. theres some sort of sound that wakes you up
3. you could have a problem *doubt it*

ive heard of this before. i wouldnt worry, unless you are losing a lot of sleep. if so, visit a doctor.

peace♥
