friendship dilema </3

i dont know what to do! you see, there's this girl who was a really good friend of mine last school year. Over the summer we seemed to not talk as much, but I still liked her. there was all sorts of crapp going on between parents and now i dont really talk to her anymore but shes made new really close friends and im sort of jealous. im just sort of standing here waiting to be invited to parties and for ppl to call me but the truth is-- NO ONE I KNOW at all (im not exaggerating one bit i swear to youu..) is in any of my classes but all my other friends from last year are ALL (again. no exaggeration) in the same classes. im so jealous and feel like im missing out and to tell the truth, theres no1 in my classes im that interested in being friends with. i feel kinda like a loner [but i hope im notttt!] and im stuck. ughh. & the worst thing is that ive got a "label" that im smart and shy. how can i all of a sudden become loud and "popular" and hang onto my old friendships when theres 14 days of school left?!!? will i have any friends over summer?! help pleasseee give me some advice that not just everyone would give..

blah. STOP SAYING YOU WANT TO BE POPULAR. theres nothing special about popular people. just be who you are, and find people who like you the way you are. just try being a little more outgoing and meet new people. chances are if you are yourself people will like you. hope this helps!
