hey alli! uhr. so this boy and i have been off and on dating all through this year. he insists we are meant to be together, but i dont want to find my soul mate when i am only a junior in highschool. i dont know how to tell him how i feel because i know he will be crushed, and i cant let him down, but then again this summer i want to have fun, not have to worry about a boy friend. help! :)

this seems like you are ready for a break... but want to spare his feelings
in my opinion.. theres ho reason to keep in the relationship tthat you dont really want.. but i wouldnt lie about it either.. tell him what you told me.. that you dont want this kind of relationship being only a junior in highschool.
it might crush him to learn that your feelings arent as strong but you may as well gie him the summer to move where you are
dont feel like you are letting him down, your not, you have to follow your heart.. and do what you feel
and theres nothing wrong with having a boyfriend in the summer... having a boyfriend doesnt make your summer not fun.. so im not sure what to tell you about that
