kristen22 answered Saturday May 27 2006, 10:38 am: I've heard that you can use one of those bottle cleaners, you know the brushes with bristles all around it. You strap that to a long stick and you can basically wave it around in your pond and the blanket weed tangles around it nicely.

Better to spend a few bucks and get a UV filter or find some other means to try and keep it off permanently. Of course having a proper (working) filtration system would be the best way.
