I haven't started!!
dear kelly, im worried because i haven't yet started my period and i'm 12 and a half, and most of my friends have started, what can i do? i feel really upset about it and alone! also my mum and sister both started at around 12 and a half and 13! I'm really worried because I would love to start, but before i did have a bit of blood but i'm not sure! Please help me!!

first off - hun, you really dont want your period. its a major pain. and it might sound cool to have, its really not all that great. most girls start between the ages of 8 and 16. you have nothing to worry about! you should consider yourself lucky because you dont have it yet. i know you feel like left out if people are talking about it - but really.. its not something to really celebrate. because of the fact that your mom and sister started at around your age - it could mean you are going to start soon. or it could mean you got different genes from someone else [ grandma, aunt - ect.] you shouldnt be worried - just live your life to the fullest and sooner or later - it will come and youll wish it hadnt. and once you start, youll know. so i doubt that the bit of blood was anything.
