Wow, three years is a long time, I totally understand that you're getting bored with him, especially if the relationship isnt going anywhere right?

Well obviously you are right, if you think you could possibly like someone else, then your not supposed to be with the guy you are with.

Anyway you choose to tell your boyfriend, eh, well its going to hurt his feelings badly, especially since he is so emotionally attached to you, 3 years is quite a time to be with someone.

Okay, before I tell you what I would say to him, just think it over, three years, is a very long time, you should probably write down on a peice of paper, a list of PROS and CONS, and then weigh them, because if guys have been together this long, theres something speical about the relationship, you could be bored, because you havent tried anything new? But who knows..

So here is my advice for you hun,
Tell your boyfriend that you need to talk to him alone, and in the nicest possible way tell him how you feel, be honest, tell him that you realize that they have been together for quite a long time, and if he insists on not breaking up, tell him he has to prove to you that you two belong together, and if he cant, then , he cant.

But if you still really want to break up with him, theres no nice way to do that, someones feelings will always get hurt, theres no corner around that unfortunetly, but he might not want to be friends after you break up with him, which is understandable, because it will be hard for him to see you possibly dating another guy, he might not want to associate with you just beause you bring back so many memories, but give it time, time will sort things out, and if you guys werent ment to be, he'll know that too.

Hope I helped<33
