ok so me and my boyfriend are planning on saving money so we can go to Florida for spring break next year, 1) how much do you think we'll need and 2) whats a good place in florida to go to, we're not big partiers and whats are some places to go to?? Thanks in advance!

hey!! ok i hope i can answer your question well, but we'll see:
last summer my best friend and i went to myrtle beach for a week, and we ended up spending about 700 dollars each. we managed to find a room for 100 dollars a night, so we each ended up paying 350 dollars for the room. then we got a good deal on the flight... each ticket cost us 200 dollars round trip. so hotel and flight cost me 550 dollars, and i ended up spending about 150 dollars on other expenses... going out, dinner, etc. so i would deffinitely say around 700 dollars, though it depends on what kind of hotel you are looking for, if you are flying, and so on.
research hotels online, and once you make a list of ones you like, research the hotel on tripadvisor.com! that helped us so much. also, see if you can book a room on expedia.com or travelocity.com or orbitz.com! a lot of times you can save money by booking with them, but also call the hotel and see what kind of rates they can give you directly, because they could be cheaper. plus, maybe you can get the rooms for a bit cheaper than we did, because it is spring and not summer... but then again, i'm not sure because it IS florida and it IS spring break!
as far as traveling... like i said i don't know where you live, but look into flying. it could turn out to be cheaper when you take into account the crazy gas prices nowdays. go to hootersair.com and southwest.com because they usually offer really good deals if they are available in your city. if you have no luck with those, try expedia, travelocity and orbitz because a lot of times those do offer good deals on flying. make sure to book your flight AT LEAST a month in advance because they just get more expensive the more you wait.
to save some more money, buy some food and snacks and take them with you so that you don't have to eat out 3 times a day. see if your hotel offers a continental breakfast in the morning free of charge... that saved us a lot of money. and get a lot of coupons from teh hotel lobby, and ask where you can go to get local coupons for food and amusements, because that can save you a LOT!
lastly, as far as where to go, i'm not sure what you are looking for and stuff, but look into all the "hot spots" even if you don't like to party much, because that's where you will meet many people your age and have a good time. here is a list of a few... compare prices at all the different places and see what you would like the most.

- ft lauderdale

- west palm beach
