my friend is starting a really cool campground and music deal. what kind of advertising gets your attention and would make you go to something like it? the bands? the facilities being nice?
loves2shop86 answered Wednesday May 10 2006, 6:16 pm: hey! well first of all, determine what age group you want to target... fo you want teenagers there, young adults, adults or what? from there, determine what kinds of things interest that age group (trends, fads, types of music) and use them for marketing.
also, even though the bands are important, it is also important to have good fascilities and food. you want to provide a good experience, so people need to have clean bathrooms and good food to make them feel comfortable. think summer foods... pizza, hot dogs, cold drinks, slushies... things like that!
also, this is a good idea because a lot of people are bored in the summer because there isn't much to do. but keep in mind that it can't be really expensive either... it should be affordable for the age group you are trying to target. also, make sure everything takes place at a convenient time... if it is in the middle of the day, then a lot of people probably won't go because of work and the hot weather. best time is probably sometime after dinner... like around 6 or after that! :) have fun... it sounds like a cool idea!
