itsz_JESS answered Sunday May 7 2006, 11:58 am: same here, my face is pretty oily and what i do is use this neutrogena face wash, i forget what its called but its orange and after you wash your face with that, you can use biore blotting sheets, they are usually around $6 and you just use them on your forehead and nose and then all the oil is gone, they work good too! good luck! Bella'sAdvice answered Sunday May 7 2006, 3:36 am: Okay honey i used to go through the same problem all the time but i stop my zits with witch hazel it's like alchol but it's not you find in the pahrmacy for 2 to 3 dollars and a 1 dollar bag of cotton balls and after washing your face pat drey then poor some witch hazel on cotton ball and rubb on face evenly just make sure the bumps are'nt open but in 2 to 3 weeks your face should start healing up and the zits will soon start to disappear and stop coming and for the make up oil free after applying it,then use the sponge (that's used for make up and is red and you can buy in beauty supply store for a very low price and mind you it's dry to)to spread it on your face and notice it won't look so oily after all so goodluck it worked for me so it should work for you

Scribble answered Sunday May 7 2006, 2:23 am: Drinking lots of water really helped me clear my skin. But then I found out I'd been drinking about a third of the recommended intake anyway. You need about 8 glasses a day apparantly. And substituting beer is not a viable alternative. Truuuuust me. [ Scribble's advice column | Ask Scribble A Question ]

kristen22 answered Sunday May 7 2006, 12:21 am: I would suggest you buy a bottle of astringent. It Penetrates deep to fight acne & Controls oil for a shine free finish. Here's a website so you can see what the bottle looks like, you can go to wal-mart and pick up a off~brand for like 2 bucks...same difference. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Cant afford it or dont have the time or way to get there? Go into your bathroom and get a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol and that'll do the trick to. [ kristen22's advice column | Ask kristen22 A Question ]
xEVYx answered Sunday May 7 2006, 12:15 am: The best way to keep the problem to a minimum is to wash your face with a perfume free cleanser morning and night, so that your skin is clean, but there is no need to scrub it too hard as this actually produces more oil. Choose oil free cosmetics and an oil free moisturiser, especially if they contain alpha-hydroxy acids as these remove dead cells in you skin and improve the appearance of it.
Giving your skin a treatment can also be good a couple of times a week, and for this you don't need to have expensive equipment. All you need is to place your face over a bowl of hot water with a towel over your head for a few minutes.
Certain vitamins can help to give you good skin so supplement your diet with a multivitamin as vitamins A, C, E and zinc are all helpful. Don't allow yourself too much sun exposure as the heat will cause more oil to be produced.
Avoid Vitamin E products, especially in a humid environment - it stimulates oil glands.
