honestly, ive been playing for 4 years, and on my electric, i still use .10, just because i likee feel, and it makes bends and such easier. however, on my acoustic, i use .12 because since it is heavier, it has a much better tone, but its more difficult to play [ WTF's advice column | Ask WTF A Question ]

If you have anymore problems/questions I would recommend asking MFS. He knows quite a bit about guitars.
