Son hates Fiance
I was dating a younger man and we started fighting because he had personal problems. His father was dying from cancer, etc.and he had to go back to his country. Now he is in his country and misses me desperately. He emails every day and is sweet. He says he realizes I was his home and he wants to marry me.We would fight sometimes when he was here and my son didn't like him. I am a single mom so my son isnt used to men and women fighting or even a real mom and dad situation. He feels like my 15 year old son never accepted him even though he tried to be nice. He used to take my son to 7-11 and buy him stuff..things like that, but then their relationship became bad. I want them to get along. Do you think my boyfriend should send my son a letter? I dont know what to do. I couldnt marry this man knowing my son hates him. But I've never been married and feel this is my last chance. I miss this man even though we had bad times...we had good times too. Thanks for your help.

The main question I have is this...Is he going to come back to your home and marry you or does he expect you to go to his country? I don't think
your son will accept you moving out of the country. That would be a tough one.
I think it might be a great idea for him to write your son. It may help your son knowing that he really has feelings for you and that he wants to get along with your son.
Another thing you need to do is sit down with your son and help him realize that you need this man in your life.
You have to help him understand in the nicest way possible that at 15, he will be starting his own life in a few short years. While you will always be a big part of that life he makes, you won't be number one anymore. You need a life of your own.
