Alright well usually I don't let the things other people say to me get to me, but I hear this from pretty much every person I meet. Apparently, I'm really out of control with my "moody-ness". I know I have times (especially once a month haha) and I have bad days but is there any way I can control my mood swings? It's nothing serious but I know I am kinda moody all the time.
If stress or tiredness could be to blame, it's possible you just need to find some sort of balance in your life and an outlet for the negativity caused by the stress and tiredness. If this sounds reasonable, you could try a yoga class, which helps to centre you or you could try taking up a hobby that you could indulge in when life gets a little too much. For more severe problems, you should speak to your doctor if you think counselling might be useful.
Unfortunately, in cases of illness, there's not a lot you can do besides try to stay positive and get well and as for the Pill, if you are on it, you could speak to your doctor about trying a new form of it, as different versions of The Pill can cause different side effects.
If none of this could be the cause of your moodiness, you need to try to turn your brain to looking at the positives in life, rather than the negative. If we examine life too closely, it can really upset us and we have to remember to try to laugh about things, rather than let them get us down, however hard that might be. There is almost always a positive to every bad situation so whenever something upsets you or makes you mad, take a minute to try to work out what the silver lining might be. It's a lot harder than it sounds, I promise you that but when you get used to thinking like this, you should see yourself smiling a lot more. [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]

Something that will help is to find a balance in your life. This balance will lesson the impact of things that make you moody, and after a period of time you will react in a more logical manner.
The first line of treatment in emotional health is to improve your physical health, and improve that "once a month" moodiness that you experience.
Exercise will stimulate your body to produce "feel good" hormones. In addition you should drink plenty of water, cut down on caffine, eat lots of fruit and veggies and try to get 8 hours of quality sleep. This will take a few weeks, but it really is the formula to cope with all the things life throws at us. In addition if you are really dedicated to improving your mood, Yoga and meditation could be part of the plan. [ Nallie's advice column | Ask Nallie A Question ]
greeneyedgirl9o answered Tuesday May 2 2006, 7:39 pm: try before freaking out on someone, or being moody, ask yourself why am i reacting this way, is it necessary, does this person deserve this treatment? then afterwards if the answers are reasonable to be moody then go ahead, everyone is groutchy once in awhile but not always! try calming down, and relax, try being positive. if your answers to these questions are illogical, and you can actually say im being unfair and unreasonable and are overreacting, then calm down chill out. remember the good and youll be ok! and when its that certain moody "time of the month" then take a midol. also just joke about it, be like wow dont piss me off today because its that time of the month and ill fuck you up!people will laugh! or as my sister likes to tell me, "take a midol, and get over it" (haha) just chill out, lifes not fun when your moody! good luck! If I feel like I'm mad or if I'm in a bad mood, I try not to talk so people don't notice. Once you get a hang of it, it's really easy to control it. You should also try asking your friends when you get moody so they can remind you when you do so you can remember not to do it again.
