Unless you never see your parents I doubt this piercing is going to be feasible for you. While there are acrylic studs that you can put in your hole when you cannot wear a piercing, no decent shop will use it as the intial jewlery. And for God's sakes, DO NOT PIERCE YOURSELF. Especially your lip, you can screw up your teeth and errode your gum line if you don't have it at the right angle.

I have my lip pierced, and even when the jewlery is out, there is a fair sized hole, and it can't really be concealed. It's a hole, and it's in my face, it's there to stay. But like others said you can't take the ring or stud out for the first couple weeks (a month and a half at least!). Plus for the first week, your lip swells, and you have to adjust to eating with it- your parents will notice something is up.

I might wait a bit to get your lip done, or at least only get one at a time. Like others said, you're only 14. Good piercers won't pierce 14 year olds without permission, you might end up with subpar work. Or you might even regret it. While I haven't left my out long enough to see if it closes up, the girl who pierced mine still has a fair sized hole from hers, even though it's been out for a while. And if you look for a job in the upcoming years, it might be harder to find, some employers aren't piercing friendly.

I'm sorry to say that there will be no way to hide a lip piercing from your parents. When you have the piercing done you will be advised to keep the stud/ring in until it heals completely. You will also need your parents permission to have this done because you are 14 years old. It would be better to wait until you no longer need their permission. It will show them a degree of maturity being able to wait until you are older. These piercings can look great on the older male face but in my opinion on a young lad they look slightly out of place. Good luck with whatever you decide.

with all the peircings that I know of, and when I got my ears peirced, you have to keep a ring or stud in when the hole is healing. If you take it out a lot, it'll close up.
When you do take out a lip ring, you can see the whole. (At least with everyone I know who has their lip peirced) When it's new, you can tell more when it's out.
Also, I know the whole thing now is to get your lip peirced and gauges, but you're 14. I'm just a year older than you, and I also would like my lip peirced, but I'm going to wait until I'm at least 18. You might change your mind about it. That's a reason that you have to have permission to get a peircing professionally done.
