Well, you could decorate like an Asia country like Japan with the kight covers with Japanese symbols on them or something. You could watch karate movies or anime. If those arent your thing... then you can go a little out of your theme. Games can be cheesey at parties. Especially at sweet 16s. I would skip out on the games and just have people talk, watch the movie, or dance. (Have some good music!)

Here's some ideas, and they may sound dumb but they're fun:

-This is a game. Fill a bowl with either small marbles OR little pebbles. Put an empty bowl a little ways away from the first one. Each person much use chopsticks to pick up the marbles/pebbles and put them in the empty bowl. Sounds dorky, but it's fun and proves how hard it is to use chopsticks for people who don't use them regularly.
-Play Dance Dance Revolution (if you have it, or if you don't you could ask a friend to bring it.) Or Play Twister. Anything that gets your guest moving will automatically equal a good time.
-Do you like anime? You could watch some Anime movies, since it is an Asian-themed party. My favorite anime movies are: My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Castle in the Sky.
-Make a mixed CD for your party and play it. Make sure to include some techno/dance music.
-Serve tons of food to your guests, because one of the most fun things about a party is the food!
-Here's some more movie sugguestions: Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink, and The Breakfast Club.
-You can go outside. If it's warm out, fill up water balloons and play catch.
-Have your guests make personalized fortune cookies and fortune tellers. Cut out small strips of paper for people to write their own fortunes and large pieces of paper so people can make fortune tellers. Don't forget the fortune cookies!
-If you know how to do origami, you could make people things.

That's about all I could think of, I'm sorry if some of the ideas are stupid but anyways, I hope you have a good birthday!

-Johanna

I would try to get a DJ or something like that so you guys could dance. Maybe find some Asian themed games that you could play or do. On your cake, if you have one, you could figure out a word or phrase that you could write on your cake with the asian letters. If that makes sence. Happy Sweet 16. :)
