They are given dates and times to choose from to visit the store, then they go and buy something, ask for assistance, and generally check out the way the store treats its customers and the way they respond to queries. The assistants have no idea who they are so an unbiased view can be taken. The secret shopper then fills in a report and gets a nominal fee. I do this for a group of stores local to me, if you are interested go to a store in your area's website and see if they are asking for people to fill this position. Good luck. omgitsjaimee answered Friday April 28 2006, 5:27 pm: its a job. what you have to do is go to stores and pretend like youre purchasing stuff but really youre *spying* on the employess to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing and doing a good job too. i think it would be a neat job, considering you get free stuff. =)
