A Separate Peace

Question Posted Monday April 24 2006, 5:46 pm

To all people who have read the book "A Separate Peace" or watched the movie:

Anyone else think Gene wanted to be "more" than Finny's friend? or they were actually "more" than friends? if you catch my drift.

Moop answered Monday April 24 2006, 9:21 pm:
though neither Gene nor Finny appears to be homosexual, the book has definite homosexual undertones. get a good critical analysis dealing with psychoanalysis and a separate peace from your local library. a psychoanalytic criticist would suggest that Gene is harboring repression of his homosexual tendencies.

if this is for an essay, pleasepleaseplease do your own homework.

No, they're not gay. I read this book in high school and the teacher addressed this.
