Ask him back?

Question Posted Sunday April 16 2006, 8:20 pm

My boyfriend broke up with me a few days ago because he said that he didn't have time anymore for a relationship. We had been together for over a year and now he's just quitting on me. He said that he just got a job and he'll be working all summer and stuff. The truth is that we met online, and we've actually made it work for this long. I don't know when we'll meet, but he's everything I really wanted in a guy. I've been endlessly crying every night and unable to sit still when I think about the fact that it's over. I'm still really in love with him and I want him back. I do have a job too now and everything, but I'm homeschooled, so I'll have more time on my hands.

So my question is should I ask him back out, or would it just be being desperate and bugging him?
I will rate.

Additional info, added Sunday April 16 2006, 9:47 pm:
I just called him and he was really busy. I was about to tell him that we can work things out but then he started to explain how he was up until 5 in the morning doing homework and he's been working. I think the only reason he has a job is to buy video games and stuff like that. Is it wrong for a guy to break up with a girl because he's too busy trying to make money to buy games?.

You should ask him back out.. what do you have to lose? I mean you love him. so you should try to get him back. People make mistakes and I know he hurt you, but maybe he'll feel the same way. You never know. Just go for it.

You should ask him out again. I mean if you gone this far. Shoot. I met my boyfriend at school. He was like we'll see how long we'll last together. 7 monthes later.. Well =D blushes. Lol. I think you should ask him back out like I said. Just sit him down and say I dont care if we dont talk much but i really love you ( or whatever you wanna say thats just an example )

Okay, I think its wrong to break up with a girl because hes trying to make money to buy games. I dont know but that sounds like a pretty lame excuse. But if you met him online .. you dont know what he is like in person. Anyone can be a perfect guy on the screen. You dont know his true identity. He mightve met some one in person and doesnt want to tell you. It might be hard getting over him. Hang out with your friends to help keep your mind off him. Who knows maybe you will meet someone in person.

In all honesty even someone who works has time off. Nobody works 24/7.

For some reason he is wanting to break up and is just making an excuse. My guess is he has found a girl closer to home.

Young people need to go out and do things with their peers. Unfortunately, long distance relationships will usually take a back seat to things happening near them.

I know that's really hard to understand at the moment because you are hurting. But, you need to get out among your own friends and find someone close to home too. :)
